Picked up 3 books today:

Glory In Death - J.D. Robb
Great Expectations - Charles Dickens
Duma Key - Stephen King

I'm gonna read em in that order saving the best for last of course.
I didn't finish the Poe book just yet but I needed a change of literature.
Since it's just a bunch of stories I'll just read one every so often until i finish it.

It's been a while since I've read something of Poe's. It's going to take some time to adjust to his kind of writing again. Just 10 pages took a lot of time.

I stayed up til 2 last night to finish up The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon cause I couldn't put it down towards the end. It's such a good book. Trisha reminds me of Jake.
In my opinion a 9 year old who catches a fish with the hood of her poncho, cuts the head off of it with a rock, scales it, de-bones it and eats it raw is fuckin' badass.

I picked up two books after work today. Both of them are of course King books. Someone I know told me that The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon was a pretty good book so I thought I'd give that a try. Well, I finished reading The Dead Zone and I thought it was great. I'm going to watch the movie a little later on once I go and get something to eat. I haven't eaten all day so breakfast will be dinner.

I spent a number of hours at the park reading The Dead Zone. i really really like it. i'm downloading season one of the tv series now. i never really watched it while it was airing on tv. not sure if i should finish the book before i watch an episode or not ( Read more... )

I've decided to put off reading Lisey's Story again, I'm not sure why. Instead of finishing that i went to the mall earlier today with my roommate and picked up The Dead Zone...yes another Stephen King book. I guess I consider him my safe author since I haven't found anything of his so far that I don't like. I bet by the time I die I'll have read ( Read more... )

This was a pretty good weekend. Saturday I spent the whole day with Aidan. His mom had to go to some sorta driving class thing till 1 so she dropped him off pretty early. I took him to get a haircut first. He likes his hair spikey so he went with short sides and a spikey top. It fell flat after a couple hours cause of the humidity but he didn't ( Read more... )
