This was a pretty good weekend. Saturday I spent the whole day with Aidan. His mom had to go to some sorta driving class thing till 1 so she dropped him off pretty early. I took him to get a haircut first. He likes his hair spikey so he went with short sides and a spikey top. It fell flat after a couple hours cause of the humidity but he didn't really notice. Next thing we did was go to the diner for breakfast. He had some scrambled eggs, bacon, hot chocolate and orange juice. He didn't even touch the french toast i got him but I probably should have known he wouldn't. ah well. After breakfast we headed over to the park. I had bought a couple kites the day before and thought he would enjoy testing them out. I got him a little dragon kite that was red, blue and yellow. He thought it was pretty neat. The kite i got for myself was sorta like two boxes. There wasn't that great of a selection and I wasn't too crazy about it from the picture on the package but once I put it together I thought it looked pretty cool. There wasn't too much wind that day so we didn't get them up in the air for much more than 20 - 30 seconds at a time. We kept at it for like an hour hoping for some more wind but we didn't have much luck so we put the kites away and went to see Wall-E at the movies. It was a pretty cute flick. It's not my favorite of the disney/pixar films but it was still pretty good. I do wish there were better trailers though. That beverly hills chiuaua movie looks so fuckin stupid.
I got some pizza for us afterwards and let him pick the toppings. He opted for tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. He does like his veggies. ^.^ The rest of the day was pretty much spent playing video games. I was on Diablo 2 while he was on Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Not too much happened on Sunday but it was still enjoyable. I got up early to get the laundry out of the way and then I pretty much spent the entire day at the park taking pictures and reading. I finally managed to finish Son of a Witch. I'd put that down for a while but was glad to see it through to the end. Next on the list is Everything's Eventual. I started that around the time Lisey's Story came out but only got a few chapters in. Maybe once I finish that I'll finish Lisey's Story as well.
