So, because of the accident, I owe a lot of money. At the moment we only have 1.5 working vehicles. The beast (a ford truck that is usually used for booting around the farm) and my car, which is the point five because the brakes need to be fixed, but other than that, it runs. Anyway, I owe my mom almost $3500 in damages, pretty much. Less than that to get it back on the road, but the door needs to be banged out and it needs to be repainted (which isn't that big of a deal, but I feel bad that I scratched up her car pretty badly). I'm already working two jobs, but I'm trying to think of other ways I can make money without working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

I thought about doing commissions. I mean, I'm not ~*fabulous*~ at graphic design. Lord knows I haven't taken any schooling. But I've been working with photoshop for five years at least and I think I'm alright at it. And I wouldn't be asking for a lot of money. Depending on what I'd make. I can do simple livejournal layouts with custom headers and things, and I can do basic web design. I pretty much rock the CD covers and things like that - book designs, etc. I wouldn't charge that much either. Maybe $2-10 depending on what I make. I mean, even an extra ten dollars here and there would be great.

I'm just not sure where exactly I'd get the clientelle. Obviously, I'd have to make a portfolio and things, which would mean I'd have to get creating again since I lost all the files on my computer. So right now I think I'm going to make some things for free - just whatever you want, websites, covers, headers, just stuff I can use in a portfolio. And then hopefully, I can make an extra few bucks here and there. I think I may have to live at my sister's for a while, what with her high speed internet and everything ;D.

But yeah, basically, opinions? Y/N? Good idea, bad idea? Any other ideas on ways to make any additional cash? I'm pretty much hooped and I'm avoiding taking out a loan because I don't have any credit and the interest rate would be absolutely ridiculous.

financial, family
