Icon 1: The crop works for the placement of the text, however I feel that the text itself (the text in blue and orange) seems a bit pixelated, perhaps changing the anti aliasing of the text.
Icon 2: The size of the "N" for me doesn't work well with the "OO's" also large. The crop works, but I'm more drawn to the text because of the conflict.
Icon 3: The crop works here, but the coloring is a little too light. Adding some adjustments would make this icon be a great stand alone icon. The font effect her is really good.
Icon 4: The coloring here is again a little light and the icon is blurry, maybe because of the cap used. If that is not the change and if you tried to blur the image yourself, perhaps try this method. Duplicate your base twice, gaussian blur the first duplicated layer to Normal at around 51-55 percent. Then sharpen the second duplicated layer to Normal about 55 perecent. I do this with all of my icons, and I think the effect works.
Icon 5: I think this icon works, great composition and lighting.
1) lol, this is hilarious. I pretty much love it. The only small teeny-tiny thing I would say though is that with the layering of "crazy" and "my mother" is a bit hard to read. The first few times I kept reading "NOT my mother had me tested". Maybe just moving the second part of the text just a little further down

1. I like the colouring of this icon, that said the large white area behind the subjects head is obscuring what is happening in the foreground and I can't quite make out what is in her hand that well. I assume if you know the fandom your knowledge would fill in the gap but I don't so I maybe would have done something too make the white less and the foreground pop out more. I am assuming the white was in the original cap so not that easy to do

1. Yeah, that was my attempt to extend the background gone wrong. The white behind her head became really quite large. It was one of my biggest problems with this icon and I'm thinking I'm going to have to take another look at it.
2. I see what you mean here about his nose.
3 & 4. Thank you <3
5. I was experimenting with a border on either side of her face and I'm realizing that the green on the left hand side is not very noticeable at all.
Thank you for the concrit, it was very helpful : )
I totally love #2! it has gorgeous coloring and composition! ♥
1. I love the blend here, but I feel the sharpness of the larger image doesn't quite go with the blurriness of the smaller one. I think maybe sharpening up the background a smidge might help, but also blurring the edges of the foreground image (either by feathering the selection as you cut it out/masking away the background with a softer brush or merging the image and then going over the edges with a blur brush) would give the icon a more cohesive look.
2. I love this one, seriously. :D No crit here.
3. I like the text effect you've done here, but in my opinion, trying to do the same with the image makes for an odd composition. Since the shifted layer is not entirely visible, it gives the subject super blurry edges and nothing else. If you want a piecey look, a variation of this kind of thing (icon my realproof might be better suited to it

1. Yeah the cap quality for the smaller image was shocking , that's why it's blurred so much, plus I haven't met a blur I didn't love yet! LOL. I cannot wait until November when we finally get BLURAY of Farscape! Yay.
3. OMG! That is the exact icon I took inspiration from when I did #3. You read my mind.

Icon 1: Cool concept for your icon here, the texture is a little over powering. Try masking your texture.
Icon 2: I love the cropping her, I feel the icon seems a little saturated.
Icon 3: The double crop works very well here, plus it has a nice cool and muted coloring that makes this icon stand out for me.
Icon 4: I love the feel of this icon. It's simple, but it works.
Icon 5: I love this icon. The only problem I have is that the center image seems to be a little larger and I find my eye going back to that, though that is more personal than anything.

#1 I think this one is my favorite of the bunch. I like the use of the repeated image and the use of the fire as a texture. The only small thing I would add (and it might be intentional) is that because Castiel's face is so dark and the light so bright its a little distracting. Perhaps adding a bit more light the smallest Castiel's face and a little bit more darkness to the right side of the icon

3. Haha! That's funny! Wasn't it a super creative icon?
Also, excuse my typos in the last comment. Apparently, I am bad at this.
