It took me quite a while but I entered all my family health history to Cleveland Clinic's MyFamily page. That's been hanging over my head for around 2 years. Ha!

I honestly can't explain it, why I'm falling so much.  I have fallen 4 times now that required assistance.  The first time was the worst cuz I hurt my left knee & ankle and was down a long time being home alone.  That was March 20.  I called Tim to come home early to get me up which he & Vaughan were finally able to do.

I have a problem and I don't know what to make of it.  For the last 2 nights I have slept on my left side for at least 5 straight hours.  That's right; I have not turned over to my right side or even onto my back.  I'm not sure but I think that could be putting my left knee to sleep so that I can't put any weight on it when I get up around 3 or 4 ( Read more... )

Thursday I finished my formal PT with a therapist (Matt) after 6 weeks, twice a week, at the Mellen Center of Cleveland Clinic.  I made only a little progress due to my own half-hearted attempts.  That was dumb!  But I can do the exercises on my own and improve even more.  In the meantime I have an appointment with Dr. Corn, the orthopedic surgeon ( Read more... )

Today I have been dealing with 3 problems: an uncooperative right leg, an uncooperative tree removal service, and disconcerting fatigue.  I think I should lie down and rest awhile.

Good news...for the past 3 Mondays I have felt FINE!  Usually I feel rotten from having taken my Avonex injection Sunday: headachy, ultralethargic, sensitive, and blah.  This has gone on every Monday since September, 2001.  But not for the last three...whoopee!  I think it may have something to do with the sertraline but also having a busy weekend ( Read more... )

God is good...ALL the time.  And this time it shows in the fact that surgery is not necessary on my right bicep as originally thought.  Dr. Corn could not see a detachment of the bicep tendon from the ulna in my MRI.  He did see an incomplete tear of the muscle where it joins the tendon but not a full rupture.  Therefore I will not have surgery or ( Read more... )

Since the insurance company had not approved the MRI of my right elbow, I postponed it til yesterday and will take the results to Dr. Corn Monday.  When I called his office to reschedule they told me that if he does any surgery, it will be either this Wednesday or Friday.  One big catch is that 2 weeks will have passed since ( Read more... )
