PT

Thursday I finished my formal PT with a therapist (Matt) after 6 weeks, twice a week, at the Mellen Center of Cleveland Clinic.  I made only a little progress due to my own half-hearted attempts.  That was dumb!  But I can do the exercises on my own and improve even more.  In the meantime I have an appointment with Dr. Corn, the orthopedic surgeon, for Tuesday the 19th.  Matt says I need more work on my shoulders but we'll see what the doc finds.

Matt was supposed to be rehabbing my right bicep which was torn last December.  When I finally got to him in April, my bicep was strong again but he could tell my shoulders weren't up to par so he concentrated on them.  Now he's thinking arthritis has something to do with the lack of progress and I need a different kind of therapy.  We'll see.

I've been faithful with my exercises and I feel better already just 2 days later.  I hope I can keep this up.

It was good for me to get up early & drive downtown to the Clinic so often.  I walked a lot more than I usually do during the day.  The hand controls on our new car made driving a pleasure and I was rested when I reached my destination.  I even kept other appointments after PT in the morning.  I haven't done that in ages.  I wish I could get up & out everyday; it seems to energize me for the next day.  I don't get it.

what i do, health
