Stuff and nonsense

Birthday was full of nice weather and roast dinner.
Yesterday was full of shopping. I got secateurs! They are purple handled and awesome. I went out and cut things today just because.
Unsatisfied with Kevin's scarf after blocking. :( It seemed to take all the bounce and depth out of it. I'm rewashing and going to dry it relaxed, hoping that makes it better. I've never had a garment go like that on me before, and it's unpleasant, to say the least.
I've been knitting Alan Dart Christmas ornaments with a view to sell them come the long weekend. And if they don't sell, then I'll put them on my own tree in a few months. Just knitting the bits right now. Making them up is going to be hellishly fiddly.
Making bread today. Nothing fancy, since I don't have the flours (or the patience, today) to innovate. Just some sesame seeds on top. Just put it in the bread maker, and should be done in two hours. Sausage sarnies for dinner!
Our dog looks very silly. We've handcut most of Pip's hair off, and he looks like a very poorly shorn sheep. I keep looking at him and LOLing.
Two of my books got wet after our laundry sink overflowed everywhere and we didn't realise. :( Neither is beyond saving, but both are not easily replaceable and took me some finding, so I am a bit woefacey. It could have been worse; there was a whole bag of books in the hall, probably about sixteen in it at least, and only two got damp enough to warrant spreading out in the sunshine. Thank god it is sunny. Otherwise they'd be propped in front of the heater.
So, yeah, a real mixed bag of emotions today. Not mood swings without reason, just a bunch of things together that equal happy or sad, not middling. :(
