I enjoy Christmas cards. I love getting them and seeing who will send them to me, and hearing about what's happened with them in the past year. Some are friends, some are former coworkers; when I think about it, I'm kind of surprised how many I still keep in touch with after all these years. I'm notorious for sending out my Christmas cards on the late side, but this year I simply couldn't get motivated to do them. For a while now, I've been in one-thing-at-a-time mode, so if I'm in the middle of one activity, it's really difficult for me to switch gears to something else. My parents went out last night, to the annual tree trimming party hosted by their friends. Dad won third place for his ornament, which I think was a little cabin that lit up.
