My father complained that it seems like all he's been doing recently is shoveling. I asked, why did our family have to end up in Chicago? Why not Hawaii? The good news is that the holiday spirit apparently infected him, as he not only snowblowed the driveway but also the sidewalk all the way to the corner, then another two houses in the other direction. It probably helped that there was maybe only an inch and a half of snow on the ground.
Hope any of you with plans tonight have an enjoyable, safe evening. It's pretty much just me, the 'rents, and Chinese food, which is fine. I haven't been terribly into NYE in recent years, though I realized while I was shoveling that I went out more when I had to work the next day. Strange, eh?
