I have taken to listening to my ipod with only one earbud in. It has revolutionized the way I listen to some songs i've heard a hundred times! 
Example one: Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin IV): listen to the first 2:30 with only the right earbud in and experience the flute part without the guitar part. Very peaceful, makes the "madrigal" part of ( Read more... )

My roommates love TV. Ever since college started I noticed myself watching way less TV than I did in high school mostly because I didn't have one in my room, I couldn't hear the TV over the noisy lounge in the dorm, and I was just too busy hanging out.
