I clicked on a link in a Google search a few minutes ago, and got redirected to this site "antivirusdefense.com" which minimized my browser to the size of a stamp (which I thought I had disabled, but maybe I need to reinstall that extension) and threw up a dialog warning me that I might have spyware on my computer, and that I should run "Antivirus ( Read more... )

What is this expression "still no joy" and where did it come from? It seems to be a corruption of "still no luck" but it sounds kind of awkward. I had never even seen it before a few months ago, but have seen it a number of times recently, mostly on technical mailing lists and forums. Am I the only one who finds this expression odd?

I just inadvertently got roped into working on my business unit's website (not the corporate website, which is not quite as bad). I was always aware that the site was terrible.
