I have a pool which is great for this Queensland heat that is here right now. I think I'll try to swim an hour or so a day in lieu of treadmilling until it gets moved into a sless sauna inducing environment ( Read more... )

Today marks a full week since I’ve gotten my treadmill and I am so impressed with the progress I’ve made in such a short time. I finally got to 300 calories today and I really pushed myself during the workout to jog at 8kmh and for a minute I even went to 11kmh. Day off from work and had lunch again with Chloe although this time we went to Carindale shopping centre. I spent far too much money (again), but I did have a really nice time out. No more big purchases for me for a while. Two shopping days out and a treadmill is more than enough for myself for a long while. No more shopping until Christmas time. I ( Read more... )

So I followed through with what I said I would do and did ten minutes on the treadmill when I got home from work last night. I was exhausted and all I wanted to do was go to bed so I really just squeezed it in. I did do some interval jogging with my little beginner walks though and here’s the result:

Rest day was amazing. There really is nothing like a lazy Sunday. I slept and slept and slept. My alarms that I neglected to turn off completely woke me up every half hour from 6am to 8:30am and in my hazy, sleepy mind I didn’t understand how to turn it off. I continued to sleep on, however. I woke up this morning and remembered why it was I didn’t exercise much.. or rather, at all. I had a knee operation a year ago for a total knee reconstruction. I have had so much happen since Wednesday! First of all I got my car serviced on Thursday morning at 7:30am. Almost immediately after that my treadmill was delivered! thank god I was awake.

It's living in the garage right now until we can find somewhere else to put it. I've used it a fair bit on Thursday but not so much today. I'll go have a work ( Read more... )
