( Some thoughts on the death of a loved one. )

I am still awake, yep, at quarter to four in the morning. Part of that is due to another issue (which I will talk about in another post), but, the other part of that is due to a weird anniversary. The night of the 18th/morning of the 19th was the longest night of my life two years ago.

I have survived both my Family (For the Thanksgiving holiday), and Chicago TARDIS (my fandom family)! But, I did not squeak by unscathed. I am putting a challenge out to my followers! Today I am going with Dad for a follow up with his urologist. Twice a year every year since his fight with prostate cancer he goes in for these check-ups to find out if he is still lucky enough to remain in remission.

Living in the US, we are honoring the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. My memories are tied to 9/11 for a different reason. September 11, 2001 was my Mom's birthday. She died March 18,2002.

Cleaning up some stuff around the house, post hospitalization, and I just found a stack of Christmas Cards that I had finished up (some with gifties in them) while I was sick at home, before my ER visit.
