My nephew's flight on Wednesday seemed to go well, and he had reached his destination by mid-evening.
On Thursday I was again up early (though not quite as early) to take my car to the garage. When I got there and tried to sign it in I discovered that it had been re-booked for next Monday. When I got home and burrowed through emails I did eventually find the one giving the new date, but it could have been a little more clearly flagged...
On Friday I set off for Bromley by public transport. Parking there is usually less than easy. The bus ran smoothly and to time, so I had time to wander a bit before lunch. Bromley is, it seems, a quite hotly contested area as far as Ingress goes. I met Alice at one of the pubs there, and we had a good chat over lunch. Afterwards I did a little window-shopping, and came home via the barber's in Petts Wood.
There was gaming on Friday evening. For once, the traffic was rather less bad than expected, and I got there in good time. We played "Ivor the Engine", which involved rather a lot of sheep. I won, somehow or other. We then played a couple of rather noisy games of "Red Empire", I think Lissa won the first, and A1 the second...
This morning I went out to the shops, and managed to get a fair bit done, but then this afternoon I fell asleep after lunch, and that wiped out the rest of the afternoon. I did manage to get a radio club newsletter draft prepared during the early evening, though.
Tomorrow, some of the unfinished tasks will need tackling.
