New Year's Eve was a quiet affair; no party, and an early(-ish) bedtime. Radio propagation was flattened by an inbound CME at about 16:00z so I didn't get any more calls into the Kenya IARU 90th Anniversary call log.
New Year's Day started at about 5am. My sister's family were packed into the 4x4 and by 06:15 local they were on their way to Lake Baringo, where they met up with my brother's family, and have been having what looks (from the photos emailed back) to have been a very enjoyable holiday, especially for the kids.
My mother and I have been taking things easy. Well, I've been doing the driving around so that my mother can stay quiet and try to get her strength back. We did go out to tea yesterday evening to see a friend. I've done a little radio, and spent a while tidying up and analyzing logs. Somehow, I havn't quite got as far as postcards...
Today's a grey mizzly morning. The family are all due back later and some of the kids are due to fly to UK tonight, so we'll be arranging an early supper, and I'll be off to do the shopping for it after breakfast.
