What Ails...
There's a malady (or three) afflicting the household. My nephew, brother-in-law and niece are all variously affected. At present it doesn't seem to be too severe, though, which is just as well, as they're heading off on safari tomorrow. I'm staying at home to keep an eye on my mother, as she's not fit enough to come on safari, and we'd rather not leave her completely alone. I'm hoping they'll all get over whatever ails them well enough to enjoy the trip.
Two of the dogs are limping. They go off chasing hyrax and monkeys, and get themselves sore feet into the bargain. They probably won't learn from the experience, either. I hope we won't need to take them to the vet for treatment, though.
My mother's feeling better for being at home (if nothing else) but is still far from fit.
I added a fair number of contacts to the Kenya IARU special call before a CME pushed the K index to six and more or less drowned out HF communication with noise. I might manage to add a few more contacts to the log before midnight (when the special call's license ends) but it doesn't seem that likely.
...so 2015 ends with a weary groan.
