OMG! I can't wait to see what new knits we get from HP DH Part 1! I'm working on a POA scarf in Gryffindor colors. Will probably wear that along with my Hermione bobble hat and mittens (also from POA) my mom knit me a while back. I hope we get some neat stuff! So excited yet sad at the same time.

Hi all,

I've been wanting to try Hermione's cable and eyelet hat from HBP. I wonder what yarns everybody has used for it? I want to use something thinner than worsted, I think smaller stitches would make it look better.

finished my hat! i love it ;D it's super cute.
i need some advice however.
shall i block it? it's made of acrylic (because it's from my old, cheap yarn stash) and i've heard a few different things about blocking acrylic. some people do it and it turns out good, some people do it and it turns out horrid. what are your opinions on that?

Here's another "Stripemione" sweater that I knitted as a commission piece.  It was pretty much the same as the one I made for myself (in previous post Nov 2007), only smaller and a few slight colour changes.  I also did some cute matching socks.  All pics behind
