New member here! I just finished knitting Hermione's cable and eyelet hat. It was my first time knitting cables. I also have a question for you under the cut.

Well I'm knitting hatmione and come to the part to make my first bobble. I have a question, it says to slip the second and third stitch over the first stitch. Is the first stitch the left-most stitch or the right-most stitch? Sorry for the stupid question, just don't want to mess up.

 I finally 'attempted' to graduate from scarves and normal hats.  My first attempt at cables, bobbles, counting stitches, etc.  Not without much pain, several mistakes, but hey, I finished it!

I finally sat down and decided that I was going to make a Hatmione.

I've just finished knitting my hatmione, and I'm very pleased with it. I made one for a friend a few weeks ago, and I used the pattern from Charmed Knits. I tried it on when it was finished, and I found that the hat was too small to fit over my admittedly fluffy hair. Well, I got it on, but the cables stretched and looked weird. So I've completed my second-ever knitting project! My first was a Gryffindor scarf, and then I ran out and bought Charmed Knits and got to knitting the Hatmione.

I have been itching to make the Hatmione ever since I bought Charmed Knits. I was just wondering if anyone had made the hat following the pattern in there, using the same yarn and everything. Did you have enough yarn? How long did it take you to make the hat? Do you like your finished hat?
