First of all, thanks to everyone who congratulated me last week on going to the College Media Convention in Austin. I'm really looking forward to it, and I'm hoping it will prove lucrative for both my career (ha, ha) and social connections.

They're about 5 weeks old, now. They are definitely growing. They chewed through the nipple of their bottle, so I had to get a new one. They're going through formula pretty fast even though they're starting to eat crunchy food.

And OMG, they're fucking adorable.

When I first looked at the rear-ends of my small, fuzzy children, I thought I had a boy and a girl. Now that they're healthier, and their little giblets are no longer swollen from parasites and lack of nutrition, it's become apparent that I may have been wrong ( Read more... )

Good news! I've found a local cat shelter willing to help me out.

The person who runs the shelter has offered to vaccinate and worm the kittens as soon as they're old enough. If I can get to PetSmart on Saturday between 12 and 4 PM, I can even have them looked over, and get some free food.

My friend Rob found two orphaned kittens in his barn. It's hard to tell their age, because they are underweight. They were screaming and covered in grime when he found them on Saturday. They have baby teeth, erect ears, and are mobile, but wobbly. I am concerned they may be dehydrated ( Read more... )
