Kitten update!
Good news! I've found a local cat shelter willing to help me out.
The person who runs the shelter has offered to vaccinate and worm the kittens as soon as they're old enough. If I can get to PetSmart on Saturday between 12 and 4 PM, I can even have them looked over, and get some free food.
You have no idea how relieved I am to have the extra help.
They seem to be doing a little better. I left them alone for 7 hours today, and came home to find them hungry and active.
The calico girl is more eager to eat, and cries louder, but is less advanced, preferring the bottle to any wet food. The boy likes wet food, but shuns the bottle, which is a problem, because he is more dehydrated. They both have their issues. I'm doing my best.
