Thursday was aaronbenedict's last day in Pittsburgh. He had a meeting in the Strip District, so I used that time to wander around and take some pictures.
I had started filming because Bitsy was licking his face, but she stopped by the time I got the camera ready. The second one ends when the phone rings. It was the vet, calling to tell me to bring him in. :(
I talked to the doctor today. Opie's throid function is off, but his T4 is a 3.8 (any medical types out there -- feel free to translate this info) which is (I gather) elevated, but not off the charts. And because the medicine apparently will mess with his kidneys (which have actually improved slightly; apparently his creatinine number was a

We're back from the vet. It looks like Opie's thyroid may be crapping out (on top of everythingelse). But the vet also said that it wasn't time to let him go yet, so that's a relief

Last night I trapped a feral kitten. Today I took her to the vet -- it's a girl, 5-6 weeks old, 1.8 lbs. Worms and ear mites, but no fleas. Still too early to test for the big stuff (FPLV, FIV, etc

Opie's breathing keeps getting worse and worse. We try new meds, but nothing helps. The doctor says the tumor will eventually split through the bones in his skull. I avoid thinking about this image at all costs

I just got off the phone with the vet and I think I may be panicking. She consulted with another doctor and they both definitely see a tumor on the x-ray. They can't confirm the cancer diagnosis without a biopsy, but the tumor is somewhere -- in his sinuses -- where they can't really reach it. I could decide to be aggressive and do radiation,
