At my work using the wi-fi. Five days now, without power, phone, internet, space-heating. Going by reports, our problem is going to be served last. I said "fuck it" last night, finished charging my comp then went to my mom's. After that, I drove home, said "fuck it" and tossed Gavs in the car to go back to Mom's. A bunch of other people are here, charging phones and stuff. Pretty busy. The snow here is absolutely ridiculous and terrible. I wrote 'HAPPY HALLOWEEN LOLZ' in the snow while playing with Gavs. It is coming down. My net connection keeps flunking, severe conditions everywhere, the power keeps going in and out... I'll be off for a while, methinks. DO NOTHING 'til I'm back.

At about 5:30 this morning, our home phone AND my cell rang. It was the superintendent of schools, automated, telling us school had been canceled. I thought, "Gee whiz, they've never called before. My boss calls in a panic this morn--turns out it's snowed bad, especially in the Berkshires, where our girl Krys comes outta. She can't come in, since the Berks is in the midst of an ice storm, so she wanted me to come in if I could.
