I have survived working the Half Blood Prince release event! Three hours at the register non-stop, two hours of reading fortunes (tea leaves and "witch" cards), and then an hour setting up to distribute pre-paid copies... Wow. I appear, outwardly, to be a total LJ slacker. This is only partially true. Today we had a Santa in the building the bookstore's attached to. I didn't know this until I heard someone say "Hey, can I leave this here?" and turned to see Santa holding out his cell phone. Wow, was I in a bad mood today. Before hitting the bookstore, I stopped in to buy hot chocolate from my crush, Andy, AKA Young Simon Merritt, at the Oberweiss, and he wasn't there.
