Today has been a mixed day. On the plus side, my sister came into town and we hung out a little bit before she disappeared down to Rhode Island to see a PawSox game and to visit family friends at the Clingstone mansion in Narragansett bay. Intern training is finally over and I am incredibly happy about this fact. The downside is that we don't get any break and tomorrow the new students come, which means I'll be working literally all day and into the evening. This is a damn shame as I was liking campus being nice and quiet.

I cannot believe how little free time I have, I mean I knew getting into residential education would eat my life but I never imagined it would be like this. I'm putting a lot more effort into my job and classes than my fellow interns as seen by me actually making lesson plans and full-page syllabi. Yesterday kids came and I spent nine and a half hours (until 2:00AM) carrying suitcases up many flights of stairs to their rooms. Some of this luggage was ridiculously heavy, so heavy that often the wheels on the bottom would stop working and on more than a few occasions literally broke from the weight. Today was filled mostly with yet more orientation. They continued to drive home how insanely busy we'll be when the kids come and how you will get almost no time to yourself. Hah, you can't scare me I can't play WoW so I don't need personal time.

I spent pretty much all of today working on summer stuff. I'm not feeling accomplished at all. There's just so much crap busy work involved in all these stupid applications it's not even funny.
