(no subject)
I spent pretty much all of today working on summer stuff. I'm not feeling accomplished at all. There's just so much crap busy work involved in all these stupid applications it's not even funny. This is really gotten out of hand that there's just so much involved in planning my summer. It really makes me seriously question if I'm ever going to plan my summers so meticulously ever again. The only other thing I did was managing to survive my hall meeting with D2 wherein Robin threatened the whole hall into submission and I felt horribly awkward and uncomfortable. Oh, well at least there were home made Snickerdoodle cookies that Rose and I baked last night!
The Christmas Invasion Poster
Originally uploaded by Peter Gray. Really the past week has been spent nearly exclusively on these damn applications and putting together all their required forms, essays, and recommendations. The only break I've taken is to play around in Photoshop and work on developing my basic graphic design ability. The poster I'm most proud of is the Christmas Invasion Poster I made pretty much from scratch and heavily utilizing the clone tool and healing brush. It looks pretty great (I think). The other posters I made were for the upcoming showing of Casanova and the Mk II version of my stolen coat poster which I hope will eventually find it's way back to me. Tomorrow is my first class which is Natalie's class about Storytelling. That should be fun at least and be a good break from applications and that other nonsense. Bah, I can't wait if only because it will be exciting to get away from all this summer busy work.
It looks like I'm going to have to change BBC and High Tea to another day so if anyone has any suggestions I'm looking at Sunday afternoon (the disadvantage being I couldn't go to Boston on the weekends without finding people to take over), or Monday afternoons where people might not feel like going to an event. Any thoughts from people who attend?
Apparently, Boston flooded a bit today in an "unusually high tide". Sweet.
