The last few days have been stressful for me. Between trying to plan my summer for once, trying to help Kelsey with her stuff (of which there was a lot this week), and figuring out my final semester of being Division II - I'm feeling pretty tired. It's funny that I've always ridden the summer on the seat of my pants and done well. The one time I try and plan ahead it's really very stressful, I'm wondering if it's even worth it. Right now, I'm applying to be an assistant teacher/proctor at various summer programs at some of the prestigious New England private schools. They pay well, offer real teaching experience, and offer a prestigious name on a resumé.

On Saturday, we had the Intern retreat which was pretty good the best part was a nine-person Apples to Apples game. It was all day and when we got back we played RoboRally and watched Wizards, an animated acid trip mind-fuck from the guy who did Fritz the cat. Some of it was interesting and well-designed, other parts were very low in quality and sense. Summing it up, earth is destroyed in a nuclear holocaust and from the ashes of humanity fantasy creatures evolve! Survivors of the holocaust are horrible disgruntled mutants who live in the irradiated areas. They use Nazi propaganda to 'bore' the defending fantasy creatures into submission. Yeap, pretty much it. I think there was commentary but I was too busy being distracted by the stupid side-plots of the preachy acid trip.

Politics as usual
Say what you will about Senator Kennedy and Kerry (In my opinion the only two 'statesmen' left in our Government run by politicians), but they were the only two Democrats willing to put themselves on the line to begin organizing a filibuster against the nomination of Samuel Alito. You can join John Kerry's petition here, and thank Kennedy here.

Moment of Zen
They bring up Chinese kids to be tough as fucking nails by the time they are six.
NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT WORKSAFE. This is one of the most dually hilarious and disgusting things I have ever seen Japan produce.
Uhh, Chinese legitimizing adult diaper-wearing for the non-incontinent? "But it's just so convenient!"
I suppose this movie will make German a little less scary/angry sounding to Americans who only know the German language through Hitler (which is most of you) and make it a bit more...hilarious.
This guy is getting $23 (at time of post) for a corn pop that fell on the floor.
