1. Basic job orientation at Six Flags on Saturday. It was pretty good, and I got to play in the park afterward (I went on the Batman and the Joker, for dichotomy's sake). Everyone had the option of going into the park, but most people left because they were starving since Human Resources provided only soda, Skittles, and Starburst as sustenance. I brought my own food in my purse just in case (an apple, a banana, and a granola bar) and rationed them every few hours, so I was good. I really can't say more about it, I believe.
2. Retail department training at Six Flags on Sunday. I had to sign up right after orientation on Sunday, so I didn't have time to call and ask about what I should bring, so I brought too much stuff and I had to leave it in the retail office. Oh, well, I'd rather be overprepared than not prepared at all. Like Batman. The actual training was alright, though. Cashier-ing (is that a verb?) is something I think I can get better at with time and practice---it's just a matter of learning the right motions.
3. My grandparents are getting ready to move into an assisted living facility, so Mom spent most of Sunday helping her 12 siblings divvy of their stuff. And it turns out my grandma is giving me her car. It's a 13-year-old, very lightly used Honda Accord. This was a complete surprise!
4. Still applying for real grown-up writing jobs.
5. The Cardinals got out of their slump! YAY!!!
6. FACEBOOK HAS ALERTED ME THAT THE BATMOBILE AND THE BATPOD ARE IN MY CITY. WHAT.
