The BMVD has been revived! Sarah (thestalkycop) and Laura (fractal_bat) have already made huge and much-needed improvements to the site; they've expanded the search terms, removed tons of dead links, added a way for vidders to update their vid info without contacting the administrators, and done a lot of other behind-the-scenes work as well ( Read more... )

The current maintainers of the BMVD (heresluck and boniblithe) have decided to give up responsibility for the site. If we can find new maintainers willing to take it on, we're happy to pass along information and backups; if not, we'll be retiring the site.

The BMVD is back up to 200 entries. And only six of them are for songs called "Hero"! I'm feeling rather sanguine about this. Of course, as Firefly reminded us a few weeks back, sanguine means "bloody" as well as "hopeful," and thus I must confess a continuing irritation with people who cannot be bothered to check the spelling of the name of the ( Read more... )

Barely 24 hours after bonibaru announced Do Over Week at the BMVD, the database is back up to 103 entries. Nice.

And, because yesterday's ongoing exchange with tzikeh about FOTR DVD goodies has me firmly entrenched in quotage mode, I've got some lines from The Two Towers that I dearly wish had made it into the movie in some form.
