Arrive and Mingle polofthevale December 20 2007, 23:04:14 UTC
You can try and catch the hostess, but she's currently set to 'ultra-bustle'.

Tag Rachel Gatina, and open, of course.I did not know what to expect at a party for the whole village, whoever wishes to come. It is large but still has a comfortable feeling, at least to me. The more familiar atmosphere of Duchess Polgara's helps me ( ... )

All Rachel had to hear was party and she was there. Rachel's a party animal. This might not be like the parties she's used to, but it is a party. Plus, it's Christmas and it's good to have people around on Christmas.

She decided to dress up. She's in a red halter dress with a pair of gold Jimmy Choos and a matching gold bag. The dress is form fitting, but not tight and her hair is actually done up for once. She's sexy yet classy so it works.

As she walks in, she scans the room, immediately seeing him and making her way over. "Hey," She says with a smile, leaning in for a hug. It's Christmas and he's like one of her very good friends so he gets a hug.

"Hello." I can accept an embrace from Rachel--we seem to do fairly well as friends, even if it seems very odd. "You look very nice. I suppose red and green are the obvious choices."

I like green and have several shirts that look almost exactly the same. This one is not the one Buffy found for me.

"I have never celebrated Christmas before though this will be the third I've witnessed. I hope I do things well enough." Not that there's a right way, but I'd rather not make any large mistakes.

Every single Christmastime appetizer, finger food, snack, and goodie you can imagine is laid out on groaning tables, complete with a stock of wine, Pol's homebrew, eggnog, and every other drinkable in between.

The dragoness is sampling everything. Just a little of each, but everything. So many new flavors and textures!

It is safe to say that she enjoys this concept of Christmas Parties immensely.

Polgara laughed as she snuck up behind her. "Enjoy, Glaurnaneth. Did you find something to drink?"

She whipped around, then smiled to Polgara. "I have been trying everything. Thus far that," she nods to Pol's brew, "seems to me the best."

The brothers MacDonald, suitably plied with food and beer (well, half of them were plied with beer) have instruments out and are playing Christmas tunes.

"I know you know 'I'll be home for Christmas,'" Shane said with a smile, holding a tempting bribe of holiday cooking just out of reach.

The boys looked at each other and Calum nodded. "You take it, eh?"

"Sure, old man."

Calum rolled his eyes and retrieved his beer as Colin raised his harmonica to his lips, foot absently tapping the beat against his chair leg as he started to play.

Shane leaned back, smiling as the young man played. He was feeling too generous to sing along.

Is, of course, picture-perfect. No Charlie Brown trees here. There are a few presents scattered beneath. Pick up or leave some of your own.

So what in hell did you get a Polgara?
Stildyne had wracked his brain for a proper gift, come up blank, and given up. He'd wound up purchasing a box of assorted teas and a set of dishes that looked like they'd make a satisfying shatter if they had to be flung at a wall. His real present would come later, when he slipped back in after reconnoitering the party at the Sin, and cleaned up after the party guests here.

He laid the wrapped boxes under the tree and made to slip out, hopefully unseen.

Never try to sneak out when the hostess is at least partly psychic. Whether she caught him or not was another matter.

"Brachi!"

"Yes, Pol?" Stildyne asked, looking as innocent as he could.
