Sight the King - chapter 6
Summary: After Yuugi wakes up at the scene of a crime with blood on his hands and a voice in his head, there's only one thing he can do: Run.
Erm, yeah... >_>;;;; that was not intentional. The next scene was supposed to be part of this chapter (and the first scene of this chapter was supposed to be part of last chapter), but I was not thrilled with the idea of a single chapter being over 10,000 words. u_u *had been initially shooting for 3000 per chapter*
^_^ Dark Yuugi is a punk. Who pouts.
Ah, but that's why Yuugi left early, see? Yuugi's realizing that sometimes people ARE dangerous for absolutely no reason, so he's going to do his damnedest to not be subjected to that anymore.
*happy dance* Thanks for leaving a comment/review!
Yet another lovely chapter! I simply loved Pouting!Yami. It fits him well, since he is so often drawn to games, not wanting to quit, while Yuugi is more often the level-headed type who knows when to quit before he starts trouble...
And once again, wonderful descriptions of Titan. I do think you could've spent a little bit more time going in depth with the imagery, but what you have so far is good!
Finally, excellent transition from Shadow!Yami to Ghost!Yami. You managed to express poor Yuugi's shock well and realistically, while keeping with your motif of "insanity." Not only that, you're allowing for a realistic flow and growth in Yami and Yuugi's relationship. I greatly appreciate how you're taking your time with getting them together, rather than having them snog right off the bat!
I do have a couple questions, though. Will other characters show up? For example, who is currently owner of The Tower? Would that be a certain CEO? Will Yuugi run across a certain Thief, whilst strolling the streets of Titan? Because that would

I must say, I really love the names for places you come up with :D on top of everything else that is great with this story. Looking forward to the next chapter.
Another great chapter! I luv when Yami no yugi pulls out a sword and shield when hes a shadow. lol Yugi seems to have learned that playing games too long can get you, or others, killed. Yay for running out early on that panda guy
Cant wait for the next chapter, its kinda sad i think Yugi will end up with a brake down soon. He seems to be pushing his past thoughts on what happened aside and just thinking about how to get off the board.
Hooray! And this is, really, a 'filler' chapter, to be honest. That even this is enjoyable makes me happy.
I should seriously be in charge of naming small businesses everywhere. Their profits would explode under my ridiculously awesome long names.
... yes. exactly. i was not consciously going for this, but this is so my reason now. XD I love when you point out awesome things like this that I hadn't even noticed. Accidental good writer, yes.
"Inadvertently"? ... We'll see.
Yes, yes, repeatedly yes. A friendship speech would do them both so much good right now.
^_^ Actually, Yuugi tipped the odds into his own favor, but the Panda didn't catch that. Basically, if you ignore the whole first-card bit, and you have three cards (we'll say two black and one red), and you have to draw the red one? If you pick a card, and have the dealer flip over a black one you didn't pick, it's still 1-in-3 that the card you initially picked was red, but if you switch to the other card your chances that that card is red go up to 1-in-2. Yay statistics

Oh, and as a former journalism student, I had to laugh at the error in the paper (morbid though it was). TOTALLY the kind of thing that happens in my local paper ALL THE TIME. Of course, in a national paper someone's head would roll for that, but . . .
Interesting to see how Yugi functions in the big city. I kept expecting him to totally wig out and be afraid, but the way you did it was IC enough for me to buy it.
*shrugs* It's a fanfic about a show where anorexic boys save the world by playing card games. People try to *take over the world* by playing card games. I *can't* take it that seriously. So, you get quirky names for fast food restaurants.

Great chapter! Love the part where Yugi's shadow is pouting!
I'm partially surprised that the 'Red Panda' didnt go attacking Yugi. Everyone wlse he plays a game against seems to...

Dark Yuugi is... a very strange character.
Yuugi's a pretty strong kid, but yeah, emotional upheavals are in his future. u_u they will not be fun to (re)write.
Thank you for all your kind reviews!

Well . . . it's just that sometimes I'm reading, and I get to these names and go "WTF?" Personal preference, but it kind of breaks the spell for me.
