Woke up at 2:30 dreaming that I was having painful contractions, but that they weren't really labor for some reason. However, dreams lie. If this isn't labor it's doing a very good impression. Let's see, what has happened since Christmas? In the afternoon of Christmas day, SAM got a weird rash all over his torso and some of his legs. His cheeks were bright red. SAM had his four-year checkup on Friday. He was fine, at a good weight and height as he always has been, but we knew that already. :) Our pediatrician is pretty cool - this visit we noticed that there was a plastic roach in one of the pharmaceutical displays in our room. We went down to Atlanta last weekend. Birthday party for the little boys was fun, I was happy that SAM played nicely with the babies most of the time. Only one episode of a little one getting pushed away from the toy SAM had, and that let us practice finding a different toy for the baby. Good skills to have. The grown-up party was fun too. Yay, 27 weeks! Suddenly I feel like I might have this baby someday. I really ought to start looking at names... The baby should be almost two pounds by now, which is cool. :)

I think we're going to move from half-hour naps to hour long naps... at SAM's request. :) He almost never sleeps, just plays in his room while I sleep, so it's more for me than him, though maybe it at least gives him unpestered relaxation time.
