SAM had his four-year checkup on Friday. He was fine, at a good weight and height as he always has been, but we knew that already. :) Our pediatrician is pretty cool - this visit we noticed that there was a plastic roach in one of the pharmaceutical displays in our room. When Seth pointed it out to the doctor, he told up that there were several things hidden in the room, including a Star Wars figure and ship. SAM found the ship right away, rather impressing both me and the doctor, since I hadn't even spotted it. It was the Millenium Falcon, and it was in the light overhead so you could just see the outline. It took SAM quite a while to find the figure - it was General Grievous, cleverly camouflaged in a jar of tongue depressors. :) The doctor was complimentary about SAM's ability to keep looking for him until he found him. No concerns from the exam, except for a red bump on his nose. I was figuring it was random and had been waiting for it to go away, and the doctor said the same. *shrug* It's getting better today. They weren't going to do any other tests, but I asked if they wanted to do an eye exam, since SAM can read well enough that identifying letters wouldn't be a problem. The doctor said reading was abnormal. :P We tried the test, and SAM saw the letters well enough for his age for as long as he would tolerate having his eye covered. He didn't like that much, so we stopped the test. :)
In other news, we have all our Christmas shopping done! It's scary, I feel like I must have forgotten one side of my family or something. :) But we got started early, huzzah!
Hoshiadam had a cold all last week and is now coughing a lot. :( That seems to happen to him after colds fairly frequently. Yesterday SAM came down with it. I've been feeling a bit congested, but except for Sunday, nothing to slow down for. Just sniffles for SAM and hoshiadam, no temperature. *shrug*
Our big accomplishment of the month is getting SAM's toys sorted through. We just finished this afternoon. He was very cooperative about assigning some of his toys to go to the condo for storage, though we only have a tiny bag for Goodwill. Still, there is a lot more room now! :)
Week 31 today! The baby seems to be trying to make more room in my pelvis, which can be rather uncomfortable. The baby is probably 3 pounds at least by now, and opening and closing his/her eyes! :) I can't decide if I am feeling like I have no time left to get stuff done, or if it is still forever...
