Death and Trusting in God

Andrew's uncle passed away last night. From what I heard, he was playing basketball at church, had a heart attack, and shortly after that, he was gone. So sad. Jerm and I were just discussing that this will be his first funeral to attend for my family. The only other relative that has passed on my side was Karl, and well, we didn't know him that well. Oh, and Dad's niece Pam...but Jerm stayed home with the kids while I went to that one. 16 years and this is our first Sherwood funeral. It being so sudden has had me very upset. Like you, I think of his wife, kids and grand kids losing someone who was such a HUGE part of their daily lives. So sad. I suppose I've been very blessed to have not lost anyone close to me in the last (almost) 30 years. I surely didn't expect it from Mom's side....'cause Sherwood's don't die...we multiply! (And boy do we! ;O))

I didn't expect it either. It seems like on my side of the family, there's always a funeral, but never on Andrew's. :(

If you need an ear to talk to about it, I'm more than willing. We're coming to Tupelo tonight.
