Japlans are coming together
I have successfully ordered 14-day Japan Rail passes and tickets for the Ghibli Museum! *happydance*
We also have lodging at the Holiday Inn in Narita for the night of the 27th, having been persuaded that doing otherwise would be a mistake. We will be staying at the hotel Hakone Elegance in Hakone for the next 2 nights, then at Hotel San-Ai in Yokohama for the next 5 nights, at Ryokan Ikoi-no-Ie in Kyoto for 4 nights, and then Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu in Tokyo for our final 3 nights. As for the love hotels, I think we'll pick a day or two to rent a room by the hour for extra seediness. :) That might be a fun way to pass a bit of time in Osaka, which reputedly has some of the more interesting ones.
Eeeeeeee!!!!! We have transportation and lodging! And now I can say in Japanese that I only understand a little Japanese and ask if someone speaks English, and make a wee bit of small talk about the weather. :-}
