Road trip
We are going to get on the road almost on time...looking forward to cooler weather, good folks, good time...we will go to the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, and we will get an update on the summer floods...
I'm playing for church on August 17, and I've been practicing tunes on the pennywhistle and the recorder, but a persistent tendonitis in the wrist has kept me off my new Irish drum...I got it in Galway, but it was made by a man in Dublin using a new style developed by a German...so it's a modern, Irish-fusion style bodhran...I want to play it!
I started a class last night in Auditioning for the Camera with an colleague from a long way back; it's going to be fun and revelatory. And I get to start writing a screenplay in a few weeks! And rewriting my novel! And helping out in RELS classes! Summer break is almost over.
