I got my staples out today! It's earlier than they were originally planning, but they've been pinching and the doctor took a look at my incision and said they could come out early. In fact, the nurse who did the pulling said my incision looked more healed after 8 days than several people she'd seen come in to get their staples out at 14 days. It ( Read more... )

So the surgery went very well. I had my moments of freak out, but when all is said and done it wasn't as bad as I was afraid it would be. The surgeon said that the tumor was easier to remove than he was expecting, and I have not had a twinge of nerve pain since I woke up. The incision hurts plenty, but the nerve pain is gone. Ok, so I leave *early* tomorrow for the hospital, and will probably be indisposed all day, but I'm having my mother bring me my laptop sometime Friday so I can at least get an email and a post out to everyone letting them know I'm ok. So look for something then. Otherwise, well wishes and good thoughts always appreciated.

Nights like this are the worst. The ones where I'm clutching my leg in pain, crying out and spasming every time a particularly sharp burst of pain hits. I gave up on bed and am on the heating pad now, which helps some. But I'm *tired*. Exhausted. I want to sleep and obviously I can't. At least tomorrow is Saturday.
