(no subject)
I got my staples out today! It's earlier than they were originally planning, but they've been pinching and the doctor took a look at my incision and said they could come out early. In fact, the nurse who did the pulling said my incision looked more healed after 8 days than several people she'd seen come in to get their staples out at 14 days. It feels so much better! I hadn't realised how much of the uncomfortable feeling was pinching from the staples until it was gone. It still hurts, of course, but it's better.
In other news, one of the reasons we did go to the doctor is because I have a little bulge under the incision that might be a haematoma, might be a hernia, or might just be a buildup of fluid and we won't know for awhile and even if they did know they wouldn't do anything at this point. I just have to keep an eye on it. Probably it will go away on its own, but if it gets worse I'm supposed to call them. It doesn't hurt, but it does feel a little weird.
In completely other news, my mom has taken to calling Ciara "Chubs". Granted, she is a little chubby, and her floofy fur makes her look even fatter. Fionnuala is "Mouthy". I must say that one fits.
