My eyebrows shot up when I saw in the newspaper that the City of Toronto, along with Startifacts.com, was helping out with the funeral costs of Corey Haim. No offense to Corey, but with the 2.9% residential property tax increase slated to occur and all the cuts to services...it slightly raised my eyebrows ( Read more... )

They skated so well! They just went wild in the free dance, and a first North American gold is awesome! They kept on using Patrick Chan for advertising, even though after the short program, I doubted he'd win (he'd have to skate a spectacular/flawless free skate, or have almost everyone make mistakes like in the pairs). Thursday - huge storm, we ran to close the windows and everything. Didn't think anything of it until the next day, the headlines screamed, "Destruction", "T.O. Twisters", or something similar. 1. I hate plagiarism. A Sirius/Hermione time turner fic has been plagiarized on FF.net from an author at MuggleNet. Originally, I found this out from sirius_prongs, here. The original story by Soap was written in 2007 and the story on FF.net was posted all within seven days in June 2009!! I was just watching some old clips of Jonathan Ross. When he interviewed Sarah Silverman, she previewed this clip. I've since watched the entire clip and it was hilarious!! Matt's one of my favourite actors, so I really cracked up!
