Noon: Adelheid awakens in Landels, confused and disoriented and barely clothed, and speaks with a nurse who offers very little clarity on the matter. On the positive side, she does smile a lot. Lunch: Adelheid is introduced to the horrible fare that Landels offers, and speaks with James Sunderland. James speaks about his wife, Adel promises to help him look for Mary should they escape from Landels, and only realizes after the fact that some of the people in this mental institute probably belong there. Garden: Leon Kennedy nearly runs into Adelheid, followed shortly by Malice, Sanzo, and a silent Hojo. Malice gives him a run-down of what to expect in this place, embarrasses him with her clinging to Leon, and otherwise introduces him to Standard Operating Procedures. However, before he can ask too many questions, he sees a situation very much to his disliking, and runs... Over here. Where upon he hears many of the accusations flying fast and furious about Dante, and moves her out of the speaking/shoving range of Roy Mustang, Maes Hughes, and Alphonse Elric. He takes Dante... Over here. Here Dante plays him like a fiddle, awakens his hatred of military officers, and otherwise makes him feel sorry and protective of her. He agrees to keep her safe from the officers, and extracts a promise for her to show him alchemy later on. Sun Room: Adelheid, seeing Dante is busy with Lust, instead speaks with Roy Mustang. He almost immediately repeats Dante's accusations, and even with the intervention of Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine, he storms off certain that the man is a coward and so forth. He is then found brooding... Here, by Alphonse Elric. The boy, not being a part of the military, is much more successful in convincing Adelheid to hold some doubts about the woman, and after exchanges about the nature of alchemy and an exposition about Alphonse's family and where everything fits in, the two boys agree to team together during the night. Night Shift
Adelheid and Alphonse, living next to each other, meet up almost instantly. Clone!Riku shows up, gets a nifty spear, and exchanges snark with Alphonse, who then tries to kick him in the back. They have a merry time beating on each other, until Adelheid forcibly separates them. After briefly scolding Alphonse for losing his temper, Adel takes the dropped spear and leads the way to a new area. Adelheid and Alphonse fight a group of three child-like Burrs, who take advantage of Adel's soft heart to nearly kill him. Between the two of them, however, they manage to kill the creatures, and are rewarded with six batteries. In the process, Adelheid's opinion of Alphonse is greatly increased, and finds himself feeling protective of the obviously younger boy. Just outside M-hall's Nurse Station; Roy Mustang, Maes Hughes, Cid Highwind, and Vincent Valentine are fighting against four nurses, and the two teenagers ride in to save the day. Their assault finishes off the nurses, and as Alphonse goes to transmute bandages, Adelheid starts searching for useful things. Two keys remain, and promptly become the flash point for exacerbated hatred between himself and Roy. Alphonse makes copies of the keys at Adel's request, and the day shifts before Adel can do anything more.
