Has everyone seen the Harry Potter Wiki page for Grindelwald? They have a photo from the DH Part I trailer that they're claiming is of Gellert. I know there has been discussion of this photo, in which the man's hair comes closer to how I picture Gellert's, but we have the issue of Wormtail being there, and from this picture, it looks like the man ( Read more... )

2. Another blonde and handsome wizard turns up but he is not as smart as Grindy.

I’ve got some meta on the Nurmengard scene that might be of interest to some of you. I’d be surprised if it’s never before been considered on the internet, but as I haven’t seen it mentioned here, I suppose I might as well share it.

A couple of requests have come up recently at accio_rs_fics where Dumbledore compares their situation to his with Grindelwald. Either offering advise or even just thinking about the similarities in his mind. I am aware of " World Without End" by kitestringer and "A Piece of my Heart" by soavefanciulla .  But surely there are others.  So what am I forgetting?

I've posted the text of my " Dumbledore Was Never Free" talk from Azkatraz and a postscript with the stuff I should have developed and put into the talk.  I was trying to work out what might have happened during the battle of 1945 and then I realized that JKR gave us a clue in book 7.  It's all speculation, though.
