I've not been well today and have done little but read and doze. We're under Winter Storm Warning, so Kathryn's been trying to be sure we're ready for that. Our high today was 45F, after an overnight low of 21F.

Overcast a good bit of the day, which hasn't happened in a while. Our high was 89.1F, with a heat index of 92F.

This morning I did 906 words and finished "Ulysses and the Sirens." And really that was the only thing I did today worth mentioning. I did add a paragraph to the "neurocranium" section of MP 1.3. I guess that's something.

Today was bad. Tomorrow will be worse. Much worse.

Yesterday, driven half-mad by editing and continuity problems, I declared that I will never again write such a long novel. And I mean it. The target length for Joey LaFey (the spelling keeps changing, but there you go, continuity problems) will be about 70,000 words. Certainly no more than 100,000.
