A stormy morning, some sun this afternoon, then the heavier clouds began rolling in. The next couple days are going to be more exciting than I'd prefer, as Helene marches across the Gulf and comes ashore not nearly far enough from us. Our high today was 79F, with a heat index of 81F.
But. Work. I spent four hours proofreading the chapbook/novella. It holds together quite well, though it needs a tuck and a fold, here and there. Kathryn read it and likes it. Tomorrow, if we have electricity, I'll begin the line edits. If we don't have electricity, I'll get to them on Friday. If we have electricity.
Last night we finished Griselda, which I liked a lot, but then we started Guy Ritchie's The Gentleman, which I full-on love. The afternoon's film was Quentin Tarnatino's Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood (2019).
Please visit the shop. Buy something. Assuming we don't blow away, we'll need the money.
Sorry. I really hate hurricanes.
