"But now that I’m older, my heart’s colder, and I can see that it’s a lie."

This will not be the entry I wanted to write for this morning. It'll be this entry, instead.

It's 24˚F out there, but it only feels like 7˚. Sunny. Blue above and stark below. Kathryn's gone out to the market and to shop for a new wallet on Thayer Street. And I'm here. I threatened to get a train ticket for Birmingham today, but that hasn't happened.

Yesterday, I proofed "The Melusine (1898)," "As Red as Red," and "Fish Bride (1970)." This morning, I've already proofed "The Mermaid of the Concrete Ocean." Up next should be "The Sea Troll's Daughter," but I'm skipping that one. If, after all these readings, errors still remain they'll just have to be there. I simply can't read through that particular story again. I hope I can be done with this ms. by Monday at the latest, and it would be great if I could be done well before then.

I did other things.

Last night, we watched Guardians of the Galaxy for the third time (we saw it twice at the theatre), and it was just as much fun as the first viewing.

And that's all I currently have time for.

Later Kittens,
Aunt Beast
