Book by Ann Pratchett. Very good.

But my marketing dept. has taken on advertising an apt. complex that's renovated from a MATERNITY HOSPITAL FOR UNWED MOTHERS. And this is supposed to be a SELLING point!! As in "steeped in historical culture." Direct quote, I shit you not.

Annoyance at work - when one of the 3 "big guys" (the Incorporated investment heads) need something they need it RIGHT NOW. They have an "executive babysitter" (her words), who is their personal assistant, but amazing as she is, she can't ALWAYS be at her desk. I've noticed an interesting double standard here at work, with regard to men and women. Men can scowl, and grump around all they want, and no one will say boo. If a woman does that, everyone's worried about her. Women here laugh a LOT when talking to their male coworkers. Anyone else seen this phenomenon?
