Title: Nothing to hide
Fandom: H50/SPN crossover
Rating/Word count: G, 700 words
For mel_b_angel, who requested SPN/H50, Sam & Dean meet McG & Danno at Kamekona's shaved ice hut. I made it Kamekona's shrimp truck instead *yay creative freedom! lol!*.

Danny's leaning against his car, waiting for Steve so they can go ask a couple of questions to Kamekona. He'd already be talking to the big guy if it wasn't the lunch rush hour at the shrimp truck. Danny's eyes are drawn to a couple of men at a nearby picnic table. It's hard not to stare because one of the guys is making almost pornographic noises as he eats his plate while the other looks on with an exasperated but fond smile.

"Seriously. This is great, Sam," the man says between two moans. "Man, I love Hawaii."

"You love the food," Sam corrects.

"And there are hot people all around," his friend says with a grin. "This place is paradise."

"Yeah yeah. Come on, Dean, we don't have all day."

Danny's distracted from his observation when Steve arrives with his monstrosity of a truck, immediately followed to his side by Kamekona himself who finished serving his customers.

"What up, Danno?" Steve asks, peering at the guys at the table. Danny must have been pretty engrossed in his watching if Steve noticed his interest.

"Oh, nothing. Watching the pretty," he says before mentally chastising himself. It the truth, but not what he meant to say. Steve's eyebrow climb at the affirmation but thankfully he looks more intrigued than anything.

"Really?" He says thoughtfully, turning to watch the guys himself and it seems that Danny's interest in pretty men isn't badly received at all.

"Pretty but weird," Kamekona adds. "They've been asking all kind of questions about the latest road accidents near Kaaawa."

It's Danny's turn to be surprised. "Ain't that so? That's exactly why we're here, too."

The guys have finished their lunch and the taller of the two, Sam he remembers, unfolds from his seat for mile. He scans the area and his eye stop for a fraction of a second on them before he tosses his garbage in the nearest trash can. Danny would bet money that he saw his and Steve's shields, and he's waiting to see how Sam will react now. If those men are shady - and asking questions about the accidents in Kaaawa valley makes them at least suspicious - it should be easy to see from their attitude. The Dean fellow is shorter - even though he's probably as tall as Steve - and he follows his friend's lead; instead of casually avoiding them by cutting through the grass to go to the parking lot, Sam and Dean approach as if they have nothing to hide to policemen.

Upon having a good look, Danny revises his 'pretty' affirmation, since it was obviously an understatement. The man called Dean is stunningly gorgeous, especially when he grins at Kamekona as they walk by.

"Great food, man," Dean says. "Best spicy shrimps ever!"

"Thank you very much," Kamekona answers with a huge smile, rocking on his heels and visibly pleased.

"Now I'd just need some pie," Dean tells Sam, who rolls his eyes.

"Well find you some pie."

"You should try Liliha Bakery's Coco Puffs," Danny suggests on a whim and he's rewarded by a stunning grin just for him. Jesus.

"Cool. Thanks for the tip, detective," Dean says with a flirty leer.

A bit dazed - and most probably sporting a stupid smile - Danny watches them walk to their rental. He then notices that Steve looks oddly angry and is scowling in the guys' direction for no discernible reason.

"Military," Steve supplies. Yeah, now that Danny looks, he can see how Sam and Dean are moving a certain way that he's come to be very familiar with in the last months.

Hum. That's interesting and Danny takes his phone out to note the rental's license plate. Just in case they need, you know, to find them again. It could happen, maybe. Danny wouldn't mind.

"So, what did they want and why was it weird?" Danny asks Kamekona and even Steve stops his strange death glare to pay attention.

They have a case, after all.
