There are crack crossover pairings that just make sense. And I have friends who request them again and again, to my utter pleasure. I hope you like, love! (sorry I'm late!)

Title: Surprise visit
Fandom: LOST/SPN crossover
Rating/Word count: PG, 570 words
For ozmissage, who requested LOST/SPN, Miles/Bela, 'oh, how could anyone not love your cold, black heart?'

Miles' first mistake is not being prepared. Most precisely, it's opening the door without checking the peep hole first.

It's Bela, as gorgeous and dangerous for his sanity as ever

"Oh hell no," Miles says with feeling, trying to close the door again.

It's too late, though, as she has already slithered in.

"Hello, love," she says with a cocky smile.

Miles sighs and follows her into his apartment. It's the first time she's been in this one he realizes, and she's looking around with undisguised interest. It must not meet her flashy standards, but it's enough for him.

"What are you doing here," he asks, leaning against the doorway to his living room, arms crossed across his chest defensively. There's nothing in there that Bela hasn't stolen already, but it's the principle of things.

"What, I can't drop on a friend uninvited?" she asks.

"You don't have any friends," he says, though he regrets it instantly when a brief flash of hurt passes on her face, rapidly covered with an infuriating smirk. He didn't mean that, not really. "I could, maybe, be happy to see you if I wasn't sure you want something," he adds to soften the blow.

"You... are not entirely wrong. I've got the Winchesters breathing down my neck, and I'd need a place to lay low. They don't like me very much right now," she grimaces, more honest that she's been with him in months. Miles was ready to kick her out but now he's shaken, and maybe he could be swayed. Yep, she can still play him like a violin.

"The Winchester, huh?" Interesting. He's heard of the dynamic duo, and he certainly doesn't want to get in the middle of whatever beef they have with Bela.

"How could anyone not love your cold, black heart?" Miles asks, making sure to raise an eyebrow and to say it playfully. It works, she laughs.

"I'm just horribly misunderstood," she says, walking to him now. "But you, you know me, want it or not."

That he does, since they've worked together for years, now, and for a while it was more than that. It used to be that Miles didn't mind the "whatever it takes for results" attitude, but he's annoyingly developed a case of morals in the last couple of years. They've been arguing nonstop ever since.

"That's it, just a place to stay?"

"For starters," she says with a little smile.

Miles rolls his eyes and throws his hands up in the air. Figures.

"I'll make it worth your while," she says, winding her arms around his neck.

It's tempting - they've always made sparks in bed - but in this context it makes Miles feel kind of sleazy.

"Jesus, no need to do that," he says forcefully. "I'll take the couch."

Bela gives him one of her real smiles this time - the rare ones that reach her eyes - and it makes her go from gorgeous to breathtaking. As in he's unable to breathe all of a sudden.

"And that, Miles, is why you are my favorite of them all," she declares.

When she kisses him after that, he surrenders to the inevitable (he never could resist her, after all).
