An already sad day has gotten sadder...Larry Smith, seller of books to large portions of the Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast, passed away this morning. The first full week of 2016 has definitely gone much better than the last week of 2015. Between not sleeping well on the guest bed in the_sheryl's parents' Florida condo, getting home late due to a 2-hour flight delay, and two nights I had trouble sleeping fretting about things I needed to get done at both work and home before the ball dropped in Times ( Read more... )

OVFF was good, but interesting and possibly unique. This was Sam's first con, so we weren't sure quite what to expect. Other than being fussy during the Sunday dead dog, I think he did quite well.
