Izzy used to sleep through the night every once in awhile, sometimes a few days at a time. Now, he hasn't slept through the night in over a month. He has started a more regular nap pattern (~9am and ~12pm and ~3-4pm). We are still doing a nighttime ritual starting at ~6pm; cereal, bath, book, milk, and bed. This usually results in him going to bed at ~8. Of course the ritual has been disrupted recently with the holidays. I've read a little from the books about getting your baby to sleep through the night and it seems that we are already doing the things they suggest. I keep thinking/hoping he will return to his old pattern but, Gonzo and I are getting a little desperate. Most people have said, you just have to let him cry it out. I'm having difficulty with this suggestion because i know it will be extremely hard to do. Those of you with kids or who know young parents let us know what worked for you/them.
Also, we are trying to find a good day care facility for Izzy, please share with us centers or in home care that you have positive or negative comments about. I'm finding that most centers do not take infants (kids under 1 yr).
