A sentiment I can definitely understand!

I'm driving down the highway this morning, doing 60mph which may have been a bit fast for the conditions, and I get passed like I'm in reverse. By a Smart Car. My car should be pink with shame right now.

Mom's car went in the shop on June 10th. That's 11 days ago. Not my idea, but my brother's got it into his head that she 'needs' a new car and I figured the only way around that is to 'allow' her current one to be repaired. (To the tune of $8K, it turns out.) Sending the Monster on its way started fortuitously - I filled out the form online, and within an hour I received a call explaining the process, how to do the paperwork, etc and was told I'd get a call about arranging the towing, which I did an hour later. AAA came over again to jump the van so I could take it to a garage. Turned out to be the same guy who put in the battery last fall. He tested the battery 10 ways from Sunday and decided there was nothing wrong with the alternator, starter, battery cables, etc. He believed the battery was so drained it couldn't keep a charge anymore.
