The first yellow crocuses bloomed a couple of days ago. Today after work I spent half an hour clearing Winter's blanket of dead leaves off the front flower beds. I started at the end near the driveway, and I'll do a little bit until it's done. It felt good to be outside and smelling wet earth, as it always does.
